This attractive three-star hotel in Aglientu stands on an area of beautifully unspoilt countryside looking out towards the crystal clear sea that separates Sardinia from the French island of Corsica. This part of the island has a gorgeous coastline of little beaches of silky, white sand and hidden coves fringing a clear blue/green sea. This is a relatively untouristy part of the island with a rural economy and lots of local colour and within easy access of larger cities and towns such as Sassari and Tempio Pausania. There are opportunities for horse riding in the vicinity, a wonderful way to discover the lovely countryside, and towards the coast at Vignola there are opportunities for diving and a variety of other watersports.

The Hotel Santa Maria, Aglientu has just nine guest rooms, including a two-roomed suite, as well as a beautiful kidney-shaped open-air swimming pool and an excellent restaurant serving typical local dishes along with classic Sardinian and Italian cuisine.
