This rather charming little three-star hotel on the island of Capri lies on the road between Anacapri and Faro in a peaceful backwater with quiet squares and charming whitewashed buildings. Life travels at a relaxed pace here and the welcome is friendly and warm with plenty of delicious home baking at the breakfast table. The three-star Hotel Senaria, Anacapri is decorated and furnished in simple Mediterranean style with a modern, pared-down feel. Rooms are spacious, bright and airy with large, modern bathrooms and pretty views. The owners were born and raised on the island and know it inside out. There is plenty to do here in addition to the well-known sights and boat trips around the Bay of Naples. English is spoken here.

There are just 12 spotlessly clean, generously proportioned rooms here, all with excellent en-suite bathroom facilities including fluffy towels and a built-in hairdryer. Many of the rooms have French windows opening onto sunny terraces with lovely views towards the sea. Rooms are comfortably air conditioned during the summer and equipped with satellite television, direct-dial telephone and a minibar. The restaurant 'La Rondinella' is not to be missed - residents of Anacapri can often be seen dining here. The cuisine is typical of the island with excellent fish dishes and an abundant buffet of salads and appetisers. Nearby there is a small fitness centre with a range of exercise machines and a technogym, which guests are invited to use, should they wish to, and the hotel owners will be only too happy to organise tours of the island on your behalf.

There is friendly, helpful 24-hour service on the front desk and the hotel has a small lounge bar serving coffee, cocktails and a range of alcoholic beverages.
