Hotel Setar, Quartu Sant'Elena

The Hotel Setar tourist complex is in Quartu Sant'Elena (Localita S'oru 'e Mari). A beautiful modern hotel on Sardinia's southern coast, it is on the coast road to Villasimius, just 12km from Cagliari city centre and 18km from Elmas Airport. A terrific location then (and historic Cagliari with its 'Castello' old town is an absolute must to explore) but you'll find it hard to tear yourself away from the hotel. The complex comprises two hotels (both four star) a business centre and sports centre. Whether you're here on vacation or business (or a mix of both) you'll find this perfect. You're also close to the beach, and Sardinia has beautiful coastline, set up for tourism but not yet spoiled by it.

This is a 35,000 square metre estate, set in beautifully landscaped gardens with lawns and trees, and with a big open air swimming pool. Accommodation is flexible too, with single rooms, doubles, suites and two-room apartments. All are air conditioned (an essential with the blazing Sardinian sunshine), and all have radio, TV, minibar, phone, balcony and bathroom with shower.

There is a host of activities either onsite or nearby, including tennis, fitness centre, bowling, Turkish bath and Hammam, sauna, massage and wellness centre. There is fishing, horse riding, diving and windsurfing. The nearest golf course is 3km away, and the staff will be happy to help with tee times. Onsite you have WiFi internet access, a business centre, shops and a ticket service, car hire and babysitting. They can even arrange your laundry and packed lunches.
