Parts of Levanto lie within the Cinque Terre national park, and a visit to the five villages of the Cinque Terre is an absolute must. The town has a medieval castle and is famous for its surfing. Other sights in Levanto include the 13th century Chiesa di Sant'Andrea and the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Costa (churches).
