Established more than 50 years ago by Jesuits in search of the perfect place to meditate, the Stella Maris is surrounded by a forest of juniper and pine trees. Visitors can explore ancient ruins and archaeological sites and visit the small village of Villasimius. The capital city of Cagliari is only an hour's drive away and has many historic sights and attractions including the Castello San Michele, churches and museums, a medieval cathedral and ancient Roman amphitheatre.

This four-star hotel has a swimming pool and Jacuzzi, and boat and horseback excursions can be arranged. The 48 rooms, each with a panoramic view, are stylishly decorated and come with balcony, private bathroom and all modern facilities. Suites come with a hydromassage pool.
