The sixteenth century Castello del Pio is a marvellous conflation of towers and turrets. Within you'll find the Museo al Deportato, the museum charting the fate of WW2 prisoners of war held at the camp in Fossoli, north of here. Check out the red-brick Portico Lungo, with its fine shops, the Teatro Comunale and the fine Renaissance Cattedrale.
