Set in a gently rolling landscape of vineyards and olive groves, Hotel Villa Casalecchi is a wonderfully restful place for visitors to soak up the warmth and generosity of Italy's beautiful Chianti region. Tourist centres such as Siena, Florence and San Gimignano are just a short drive away, and guests can enjoy strolling or cycling around the extensive grounds of the hotel.

here are 16 tastefully furnished rooms in the hotel's main building (once a country mansion) or guests can choose to stay in one of the three apartment situated in the former stable block. All rooms are air conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms, satellite TV, telephone and minibar.

The hotel restaurant has a mouth-watering a la carte menu offering a tempting selection of traditional Tuscan specialities in addition to a range of imaginative dishes specially devised by the talented chef. There is also a children's menu and high-chairs can be provided as required. As one would expect in Chianti, the wine list is impressive and includes lots of delicious wines that can only rarely be found outside Italy. There's also a cosy lounge/bar as well as a cafe for lighter snacks.

Horseriding excursions can be arranged and guests can take advantage of the sizeable swimming pool or the tennis courts. There's also an Italian bowling court in the grounds and scooters are available for hire. Other facilities include free car parking, currency exchange, left-luggage and safety deposit. All major credit cards are accepted.
