This Valdarno hotel (the Valdarno being the Arno river valley) is in lovely countryside just a couple of miles north of the main A1 highway, which runs through Italy, joining Milan to Rome. The historic town of Arezzo is just a few kilometres south east of here, the ancient hill town being especially famous for the work of Piero della Francesca, whose superb frescoes decorate the church of San Francesco. Other must-sees in this ancient town include the Episcopal Palace, the Roman amphitheatre and museum, the Fortezza Medici and the House of Petrarch.
