The Hotel Villa La Brise, San Remo (Sanremo) is situated 2km from the center of town, just 50 metres from the beach and is the perfect spot at which to relax on the delightful Italian Riviera.

This building epitomises what many visitors love about Italy's Ligurian coast (this stretch of the Riviera is known as the 'Riviera dei Fiore' or 'riviera of flowers'). An elegant, dazzlingly white building from the turn of the 20th century, it exudes fin de siecle charm. Services are bang up to date though - all of the 20 guest rooms, a mixture of singles, twins and doubles, have private bathrooms, satellite television (with English language channels including the BBC) and direct-dial telephone. There is a computer with internet access available in the hotel lounge, so you'll be able to check your emails.

This Sanremo hotel, managed with enthusiasm and energy by a young family, is great whether you're planning a short break or a longer vacation. There is a bar, a private garden, and ten of the bedrooms have private terraces overlooking the bay at San Remo. You won't need to use the car - there is private parking (limited) and you are next door to the local bus station. Even better: why not borrow a bicycle from the hotel (they are free though availability is limited) and cycle in to discover this lovely Italian Riviera town.
