This lovely four-star hotel on the outskirts of Florence (Firenze) is beautifully located in the hills near Fiesole. Housed in three grand patrician villas with marvellous views over Florence and with good public transport links to the city, this is a great place to stay. Hotel Villa le Rondini is surrounded by 22 hectares of glorious parkland with a swimming pool and heliport: the atmosphere here is one of tranquility and comfort. The centre of Florence with its magnificent Duomo, the wonderful Uffizi Gallery and the city's stunning collection of medieval and Renaissance masterpieces is just four kilometres away and there is a regular bus service running to and from the hotel.

There are 39 handsome, spacious guest rooms here - 36 double rooms, four singles and two palatial suites - all with direct-dial telephone, satellite television and a generously stocked minibar. Bathrooms have showers or baths plus WC and basin together with a fitted hairdryer, and the entire hotel is comfortably air conditioned during the summer months. Guest rooms are tastefully furnished with elegant period pieces and lavish fabrics which are in keeping with the architectural style of the building.
