The Hotel Villa Linda is nicely located on Sicily's eastern coast. Just south of Taormina, in Giardini Naxos, the hotel is in the Recanati tourist area - very close to both a private and a public beach. And with your hotel just a kilometre from the heart of town (and the bus terminal), you're perfectly placed for exploring the countryside and surrounding towns of this beautiful part of Sicily.

All the rooms here are decorated and furnished in traditional Sicilian fashion. Each has a terrace or balcony, looking either over the garden or the sea. The most basic single rooms here include phone, air conditioning, bathroom with shower and WC, and balcony. The hotel also has double rooms and quadruple rooms (with double and bunk beds), perfect for families. The hotel has a bar and a front desk which stays open around the clock.

Giardini Naxos itself is a terrific little spot. Some ten minutes south of the very nice mountainside town of Taormina, it's considerably cheaper than its chic neighbour. Holidays can enjoyably be spent sunning yourself on the golden sands at Naxos, dipping in and out of the warm waters of the Ionian Sea - then heading into Taormina for the historic sights, the shopping and the very good restaurants. Giardini Naxos has much of its own to enjoy too - this working fishing port has good and affordable restaurants (majoring on seafood, naturally). This was the first Greek settlement on Sicily, back in 734BC, and there is an archaeological dig and Museo Archeologico, where you can conduct your own researches into ancient Naxos.
