Lying in the old town centre of Reggiolo (a little town in northern Italy's Emilia-Romagna region) the Hotel Villa Nabila has been artfully remodelled from an old country house. The building dates from the end of the 13th century, and lies within a beautiful park, which is also home to the Il Rigoletto Restaurant. North of here lie Ferrara and (over the border into Lombardy) historic Mantua. You thus have a wealth of Italian medieval and Renaissance cities within striking distance, and also some quite lovely countryside, from the Po Delta to the north, and the Apennines bordering Tuscany to the south.
