The house was built by the Ponticelli family as their country home during the mid-nineteenth century. The singular beauty of the building and its surrounding gardens inspired its transformation, in 1981, for guests who want a refined, classical setting for their Italian vacation.

The design is typically Italian, with the building surrounded by a oak trees, with a centuries-old Lebanese cedar set in front of the entrance to the main hall. And this first-class hotel is able to offer facilities and services not often found in hotels in town. There are tennis courts, a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, and ample private parking. There are also two meeting rooms (for 15-50 people) which are perfect for wedding receptions, business meetings or banquets.
