The wine-growing town of Frascati lies in the heart of the Castelli Romani hills, just 20 kilometres from the centre of Rome. There are excellent public transport links from here; the Termini-Roma mainline railway station and nearby St Peter's Square can be reached in around half an hour and the city's international Ciampino airport is only 15 minutes drive away. Frascati itself is a pleasant, elegant town with a history in its own right dating back to Ancient Roman times. It's surrounded by lovely vineyards and lush, green hills and the coast is just a short distance away.
