Today, it's still surrounded by rolling countryside planted with ancient green olives and fragrant citruses.

All in all, this a beautiful, restful haven - ideal for a relaxing holiday and just a stone's throw away from the breathtaking Amalfi coast, the fascinating Roman ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum and the islands of Capri and Ischia.

The proprietors have a health-conscious, eco-friendly approach, serving delicious organic produce at breakfast, and guests are invited to take part in yoga sessions and join organised nature walks in the stunning countryside around. A small range of aromatherapy treatments is also on offer.

All five pretty bedrooms have their own private bathroom and each one is simply furnished with tasteful, antique furniture. Guests are welcomed with a selection of fresh fruit in their rooms.
