A converted sixteenth century convent, the Jet Hotel is in Caselle Torinese, in countryside to the north of Turin (Torino). This superb historic building (300 years old and with a former life as the Royal Printing Works for the House of Savoy) has been beautifully converted into a comfortable modern hotel - great for leisure or pleasure, and perfectly positioned for exploring Turin.

The hotel restaurant, Antica Zecca, draws extensively on the home cuisine of this Piemonte/Piedmont region, famed for Italy's richest and most sumptuous food, while offering the best of international cuisine. This is a three century old setting and offers a delightful rustic accompaniment to some very fine food.

The building was built in the late 1600s on existing foundations and inherited in 1729 by the Nuns of Santa Chiara of Chivasso. The cash-strapped nuns then sold the building on to the Marquis of Genoa. Today, the old world exteriors hide a delight of modernity within. The single, double and twin rooms are beautifully finished in understated and classic style, each with air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, direct phone and bathroom with shower and WC. The hotel has luggage storage, bar and restaurant, garden, free parking and pets are allowed. There is internet access, meeting and banqueting services, laundry and ironing.
