La Casa Dei Limoni, Monterosso Al Mare is an old farmhouse, which has been refurbished to the highest standards of modern comfort while care has been taken to retain its traditional charms. As the name suggests, the hotel is surrounded by lemon trees, and olive trees too, making it an idyllic Mediterranean retreat.

Monterosso is the largest of five coastal villages collectively known as the Cinque Terre. They are a hiker's paradise, with many trails running between them and breathtaking scenery along the way. Monterosso nestles in a bay to the east of the Punta Mesco headland, and the hotel Casa Dei Limoni is situated in the oldest part of the town. Here you can visit the striped thirteenth-century church of San Giovanni Battista. To the west of the old town is a modern beach resort called Fegina, while up on the hillside is the pretty 17th century Convento dei Cappuccini.

This Monterosso accommodation is just 15 minutes' walk from the train station and within easy reach of the sea. The recently renovated interior has been warmly furnished in an elegant modern style, but has kept many original features such as the beautiful exposed stonework.
