Pellio Intelvi is a little town (or 'comune') in Como province in the Italian region of Lombardy. Set between Lake Como and Lake Lugano, it is just a couple of kilometres from the Swiss border (the Italian-Swiss border cuts through the middle of Lake Lugano in fact). With a population of fewer than a thousand people, it lies 20km north of the town of Como and 60km north of Milan (Milano). This location is thus equally good for exploring the lakes, for trips into Switzerland, or for fashion shopping and seeing the historic sights of Milan. Other nearby towns include Rovio, Lugano, Porlezza, Lezzeno, Laglio, Tremezzo and Griante.

The Valle d'Intelvi, set some 980 metres above sea level, is an oasis of unspoiled nature, yet you can quickly be in Villa d'Este, Bellagio, Menaggio, Villa Carlotta or Campione d'Italia. There is a nine-hole golf course (Golf Club Lanzo) next door to the hotel. You have tennis and horse riding onsite, while swimming, sailing, water skiing and fishing are a few minutes' drive.
