This hotel in Gubbio is close to the centre of the town, once an important city of the Roman empire and the Umbri tribe before them. Gubbio is in the north-eastern part of Umbria on the slopes of Mount Ingino, a medieval town of characteristically narrow streets built in a Gothic style from dark grey stone. The second oldest surviving Roman theatre in the world is found here, built in the 1st century BC from local limestone, and guests will also be interested to see the Eugubine tables, bronze tablets which are the oldest examples of ancient Umbrian text in the world.

The four-star Park Hotel ai Capuccini, Gubbio is built in a 17th century monastery which has been fully renovated and extended to accommodate modern guests. Although it is close to the city centre and all of the attractions that go with it, the location is very quiet and peaceful (as one might expect from an ex-monastery!).
