The Piccolo Hotel, on the north-eastern edges of Ravenna, is a family operation, established in 1960. The Piccolo is perfect for business visitors to the city and holidaymakers alike. It is perfectly placed for the beaches of the Adriatic coast at Marina Romea and Marina di Ravenna. The seaside here means long stretches of golden sand, backed by cooling pine woods - a superb holiday location and one perennially popular with Italian families. You're also ideally located for the amusement park at Mirabilandia here. it's one of Italy's biggest and best theme parks, with enough stomach-turning rollercoaster rides to keep the older children happy, and gentler fare such as The Friendly Whale and the Crazy House for the younger (and older) ones.

This Ravenna accommodation was entirely renovated in 2002, and now offers 73 rooms, a choice of single, double, triple and quadruple accommodation, all with breakfast included. Rooms have pay TV, wi-fi internet connection, independent air conditioning and heating, private bathroom and hairdryer. Once you step outside your room you'll find excellent levels of service here. There is a TV room, bar, restaurant, free car park, luggage store and internet service. The Piccolo uses the free beach service at the Hotel Meridiana in Marina Romea (10kms away).

You'll also find some excellent restaurants - this region of Emilia-Romagna is famed throughout Italy for the quality of its cuisine.
