Lying around 15km west of Perugia, the little Umbrian town of Magione is a near neighbour to Castiglione del Lago, Corciano, Panicale, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Tuoro sul Trasimeno and Umbertide. You thus have the lovely countryside and hill towns of Umbria on your doorstep and the delights of Lake Trasimeno just a couple of miles to the west. Umbria itself is a delight, often referred to as 'the green heart of Italy', and famed for its hill towns. There are the lovely towns of Gubbio, Assisi and Montefalco; the Valle di Spoleto, which combines stunning countryside with a clutch of beautiful villages such as Spello, Trevi and Bevagna; and the Monti Sibillini national park. And of course you have the lake. This Magione hotel puts it all within reach.
